Fotini Mitsiopoulos
I was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece and came to Canada in 1988. Since then, I have been living in Mississauga with my family.
From a very young age I knew I wanted to study visual arts.
Unfortunately, because of various obstacles I was not able to pursue my dream full-time, but managed to take a one-year course on painting with oils. Upon arriving in Canada decided to focus on my passion, creating art.
I started by taking courses using acrylics through Visual Arts Mississauga. I am very grateful to my instructors Layal Annan and Lydia Panart for their invaluable encouragement and support over the years. The fact that they sincerely believed in me has been my inspiration for fulfilling my dream of becoming an accomplished artist.
I continue to work with Mrs. Annan and enjoy using mixed acrylics, especially combining textures to creating my unique style.
My passion for creating art remains strong and is emboldened with stroke of my paintbrush.
